I was thinking, maybe we should not just have wolves but accept other creatures that normally thrive in Silvano (A.K.A. Yellowstone National Park).
List
-Wolves (Duh )
-Bears
-Bobcats
-Canada Lynx
-Coyotes
-Elk (Must be approved by Staff)
-Moose (Must be approved by Staff)
-Mountain Lion
I realize some of these are prey animals but hey, maybe we could have some interactive prey animals. That way, when... A Moose is faced against a pack of hungry wolves on one side and a Mountain Lion on the other, it would cause some drama. Of course the Deer would die, but who would get it? Instead of having both predator animals fighting over who needs it most, the prey chooses it's fate. :3
Silver posted previous ideas and I really liked them :3 One that truly caught my eye was Chance of Fate. Wolves do die a lot out in the harsh environment and less then half of the wolf pups born make it to become adults. I realize that it may sound unfair to have your character randomly chosen to die but it makes sense as wolves die a lot and we are a highly realistic wolf Roleplay trying to make this Roleplay like real life. Again credit to Silver for thinking this up ^^
The other idea Silver had was a special way of recruiting! After we get on our feet and have a good amount of RELATED wolves in our packs and two alphas in each pack we will only recruit for pups around the time of the birthing season. It makes sense as that is how wolf packs grow only by alphas giving birth to their precious offspring. If no pups join by the due-date of the Alpha giving birth {a} She got a miscarriage {b} The pups died from the cold or disease. Again Credit to Silver for this idea~
I was thinking, every Winter there is a band of humans who poach and try to kill the animals of Silvano for their gorgeous coats. Not just wolves. Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Bears, etc. I thought this would give the feel for the animals being able to know they aren't the biggest baddest wolves around and it will give chances for people to kill off their characters if they have grown old or want a new one for when the Alphas have their pups in spring.
(Only trusted members play this role!)
Alphas don't live forever and some are even chased out by their own pack. When that happens wolves are constantly fighting over who is in charge. Normally only one Alpha is there and keeps control, searching for a mate to take the place. This isn't really a suggestion but it needs to be said. This isn't a "I need to find my love and if he/she dies I'll never love again" no. Wolves don't work like that. They may get a little sad and upset when their mate dies or is chased out but it's all about breeding and keeping the pack up and strong so if something comes to that, the next lone male or female that flirts their way to that alpha, they must take the chance or that alpha will be chased out and most likely die alone. Just thought I'd say this and see what you guys think also.
(Must be volunteered and be approved to be Alpha first!)
Pups have a choice when they reach adult hood: Stay with the pack, leave and join a different pack or leave and make your own! For the ones that want to leave and make their own, you can't just do that. All of the staff members must approve. If we have even one disagree it won't happen. It takes time and a lot of effort to make a pack and we need to make sure this pack isn't going to die in the next the week. We also want to make sure you will recruit properly for your pack~
For those who make it far enough to start their own pack. You won't have your own name as you came from some pack. The Alpha Male of the new pack would be the one responsible for naming. Wherever he came from is how you would founded.
Example:
Alpha Male came from Sollus
Alpha Female came from Mahikun
Pack is founded by the Sollus Pack.
See what I mean? It makes more sense that way as normally Male's are the more dominant ones.
